Beta-glucan (1-3) (1-6) and Vitamin C

Due to its immunomodulatory action, its administration is particularly indicated for the prevention and treatment of infections caused by viruses and bacteria.

Beta (1,3)-(1,6)-glucan

Beta-glucan is recognised by the cells of the intestinal innate immune system by binding to a specific receptor (Dectin-1).
This specific recognition of Beta-glucan by the receptor is necessary for the development of an effective immune response with:
Increased phagocytosis.
Increased cytokine secretion.
Increased NK (Natural Killer) cell activity.

Tannic acid

Tannins are phenolic compounds with high antioxidant potential and antiviral properties.

Zinc

Trace element essential for the development and maintenance of normal immune system function.
Deficiency is associated with:
Reduced antibody production.
Low NK cell activity.
Decreased cytokine production.
Reduced T-cell numbers.

Selenium

What is trained immunity?

Recent research has shown that the innate immune system possesses a certain type of memory that makes it capable of enhancing its response to infection by viruses or bacteria, which has been termed "trained immunity". Beta (1,3)-(1,6)-glucan, present in Immunizat Infantil, has the ability to generate a boost in "trained immunity", so that the innate immune system is able to develop a more potent immune response when it comes into contact with heterologous secondary stimuli, such as viruses or bacteria.
